Peter Chiykowski
Peter Chiykowski is a cartoonist, writer, and professional ragamuffin. He doodles Rock, Paper, Cynic, a webcomic about geek culture, turtles, and making the world a more interesting place. He actually started writing and publishing his silly little cartoons in Halifax in 2008, and was lucky enough to get support from student newspapers and local readers—something he’s still grateful for.
Since then his comics have spread around the Internet’s underparts like a weird rash that somebody should probably invent a cream for. His jokes have been shared by the likes of George Takei and Nathon Fillion and featured on Tor.com and io9, almost entirely thanks to the support of his wicked-awesome readers.
When he’s not drawing frivolous cartoons, Peter writes fantasy, science fiction, and other genres where you can get away with talking about dinosaurs. His work’s shown up in the likes of Asimov’s Science Fiction, Best Canadian Poetry, and Imaginarium: Best Canadian Speculative Writing, as well some other paper-thingies like books, magazines, and newspapers.
He tweets as @rockpapercynic and has so far been unsuccessful in his quest to give out high-fives through the Internet. One day.
